Cumbria Scouts at Beamish Flag Day 2017

21 May 2017

Cumbria Scouts from Western Lake District joined other uniformed organisations at Beamish Museum on Sunday 21st May to celebrate Empire and Flag Day.

Groups took their section flags and every party member was given a Union Jack for the parade.  The atmosphere was electric due to the amount of people attending.

A big highlight of the day was Durham Police and their dogs from Channel 5’s Police Interceptors programme and the Durham police helicopter landing at the event.  Everyone had an opportunity to get up close to them all.

A wonderful day in all and bookings are coming in for next years event already!

And we’ve even got a short video of the parade too!  Check out Cumbria Scouts YouTube channel.

It takes a lot of coaches to move this many Scouts
