Tea Prepared!

6 March 2018

On Saturday 3rd March Leven Valley Scout Group showed off their baking and hospitality skills, hosting a coffee morning at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston.  The event was a great chance for the Cubs, Beavers and Scouts to meet with members of the community and show off their group.

Despite a snowy day, lots of people turned up to support the group.  The Cubs and Scouts helped by serving teas, coffee, and some amazing cakes, as well as running a raffle and a bric-a-brac stall.  The Beaver Scouts helped waiting on table and keeping everyone in great spirits with their never-ending enthusiasm!  Overall the event raised over £248, which will allow the group to continue offering amazing Scouting experiences to their members.

If you missed the coffee morning in Ulverston, 17th Barrow Scouts are holding a bake sale and coffee morning at their Scout Hut on Yarlside Road in Barrow (just on the road from the Ship Inn) this Saturday 10th March, from 10am – 2pm.  And of course we’ve got loads of events going on all around the county to help raise funds to send our county contingent to the 2019 World Scout Jamboree in North America.
