About Us

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
Scout Association

Cumbria Scout County is part of the North West Region of the Scout Association, being one of eight counties and one island in the Region and is one of the biggest geographical Scout Counties in the UK.

Scouting Delivery

Scouting in Cumbria is delivered by 57 Groups in 6 Districts.

Growing Network

Over 3,000 young people (Census 2024) are directly supported by 567 adult volunteers, with a total county membership of approximately 4,000 people.
